Railey Family Endowed Scholarship

Purpose:
The Fund is established to provide scholarships to students within the University’s College of Business which will enable them to be productive and qualified professionals in the business community.

This scholarship is being established to recognize the opportunities the University provides to working parents. Jerome “Jerry” John Baker, Rocky’s father was one of MSU Denver’s first Roadrunners going back/forth across Speer Blvd. for his night classes after working full-time at Martin Marietta, now Lockheed. Jerry graduated from MSU Denver in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems, additionally, to continue to provide support to the College of Business and the value and need for MSU in the Denver Community.

In addition, it is because of the leadership and recognition of the value of MSU’s alums and their willingness to support the university by the past Dean, Dr. Ann Murphy, that we have decided to establish this scholarship. Always remember, people give to people, and Ann is an inspiration.
