Crowley Family Emerging Educators Endowed Scholarship

Purpose:
The Fund exists to provide financial support to students in the University’s School of Education who are also enrolled in the programming of the University’s Access Center for Disability Accommodations and Adaptive Technology.

The Fund’s goal is to alleviate financial pressures related to a student’s ‘Cost of Attendance’ which includes direct costs such as tuition and fees but also indirect costs such as off-campus housing, transportation, technology, course materials, and dependent care. The Fund aims to empower students who demonstrate the resilience to balance rigorous academic goals with personal and family responsibilities. By supporting students through the Access Center, this Fund hopes to assist with logistical hurdles which might stand in the way of a student’s journey to becoming a transformative educator.

With 8 college degrees earned in two generations, the Crowley Family’s history reflects a lasting appreciation for education and educators, and a heartfelt dedication to supporting their growth and success. Kathleen “Kayti” Crowley, as the family’s coordinator of this Fund, embodies this legacy of resilience, perseverance, and a deep commitment to education. Kayti’s 30-year journey to earn multiple degrees from MSU Denver and complete her education is a powerful testament to her determination and to the transformative impact of MSU Denver.
