Scholarship Details
This is a private scholarship opportunity from the Denver chapter of Empowering Women as Leaders (EWL), a non-profit established in the spirit of women supporting women to change the world.
EWL supports non-traditional age women in achieving their highest potential through college scholarships, mentoring and networking. The organization and its members are united in a shared belief that all women can achieve success despite financial, educational, and social obstacles and that successful women are fulfilled by sharing their wisdom and resources. ELW refers to the women they support as STARs and their goal is to ignite each STAR’s light and energy and to give them confidence that they can achieve their dreams.
Scholarship Benefits
Financial Aid:
$1,500/semester for Fall and Spring semesters (Renewable each semester if GPA, mentoring and other program requirements are met and maintained.)
$1,000/semester for Summer (if GPA, mentoring and other program requirements are met and maintained).
Mentoring: Each recipient receives 2-3 hours/month of mentoring throughout the duration of her college education, as well as on-going support and networking opportunities after graduation. Mentors are professionals who have achieved success both in their personal and professional lives.
