Mary Ann Padilla And Robert Grabowski Endowed Scholarship
Purpose:
To provide scholarship support to aspiring students who without support would be unable to attend Metropolitan State University of Denver. Mary Ann Padilla owned the Sunny Side, Inc./Temp Side agency for more than thirty years. During that time, her husband Bob Grabowski retired from his position as Chief Financial Officer at Ryerson Steel and became the Vice President of Finance for Sunny Side. They recruited and placed numerous MSU Denver alumni during this time. They and their clients were favorably impressed with the quality and work ethic of employees who were or had been MSU Denver students. Mary Ann is from a family of 9 children; Bob worked full time while attending college. Both were first generation college students who worked hard while earning their degrees. They are very interested in higher education, ensuring that there are skilled employees in the Denver metropolitan area for local employers, and in supporting deserving students with financial need.
