McFail Family New Beginnings Endowed Scholarship

Purpose:
The intent of the scholarship is to provide a helping hand to any student in need at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Students will be required to participate in the C2Hub Scholarship Student Support & Retention program.

Criteria:
Scholarship recipients shall:
• Be meeting the University’s Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements and cannot be in default or owe any refund/repayment of federal, state or institutional aid.
• Have financial need as determined by FAFSA/CASFA and the University’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships
• Be enrolled Half-time (6+ credit hours, 3+hours for Graduate students)
• Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5
• Students must fully participate in the Student Support & Retention program

There is a preference to award students who are adult learners entering or returning to college, veterans, former foster care youth or former juvenile justice youth.
The scholarship is open to undocumented students, including international students.
The scholarship is renewable for multiple years if award criteria continue to be met (contingent on available funds).
