Lyle Dehning Endowed Scholarship

Purpose:
To provide scholarship awards to accounting students enrolled at Metropolitan State College of Denver. In the summer of 1967, Lyle Dehning was hired as budget officer for Metropolitan State College of Denver. After a couple of years working as the budget officer, he transferred to the faculty and began teaching full-time. Lyle is a Certified Public Accountant and has owned an accounting practice for over 35 years. He has been married for 42 years and has three sons who are all teachers. Lyle established this scholarship for accounting students because he recognized the high percentage of working students at MSU Denver and wanted to help them obtain their goals.

Criteria:
• Be an accounting major
• Have a 2.5 cumulative GPA
• Be a full-time student (12 credit hours minimum)
