David Sternburg Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Purpose:
The Fund is established to provide scholarships to students pursuing careers in Accounting. David Sternburg graduated Magna Cum Laude with an Accounting degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver. David was fiercely proud of his school and upon graduation, David worked at Ernst and Young, where he distinguished himself by his dedication and hard work, his eagerness and desire to learn, and his loyalty and devotion as a team player. In the Denver community, David was known for his kindness and compassion. This scholarship is endowed to honor the memory of David Sternburg.

Criteria:
• Be meeting the University’s Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements and cannot be in default or owe any refund/repayment of federal, state or institutional aid
• Have a financial need as determined by FAFSA/CASFA and the Metropolitan State University of Denver Office Financial Aid and Scholarships
• Have a declared major in Accounting
• Be a Junior or Senior
• Maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA
• Be taking 12 or more credit hours during the semester(s) the scholarship is received
• Submit a letter of recommendation from a faculty member within the University’s Department of Accounting
