DaVita Ambassadors Scholarship

Purpose:
The Fund is established to provide scholarships to students enrolled in the University’s Department of Nursing.

DaVita, in its quest to build the ‘Greatest Healthcare Community the World Has Ever Seen’, has partnered with the University since 2018 in support of the University’s effort to meaningfully engage alumni as well as to provide sustainable career paths, particularly for students pursuing health careers such as nursing. Both the University and DaVita recognize the value in supporting students with tuition assistance, wraparound support, mentorship, and recruiting tools such as mock interviews and resume review. As such, this fund is established to support a cohort of “Ambassadors” who will receive scholarships paired with minimum requirements to engage with DaVita programming throughout the academic year.

Criteria:
• Be enrolled full-time (12+ credit hours) and in good academic standing in the University’s Department of Nursing
• Be a U.S. Citizen
• Be meeting the University’s Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements and cannot be in default or owe any refund/repayment of federal, state or institutional aid.
• Have financial need as determined by FAFSA and the University’s Office Financial Aid and Scholarships
• Be willing and able to participate in at least five engagement activities with DaVita throughout the academic year including but not limited to sponsored lunches, visits to Casa de! Mundo (DaVita’s headquarters located in downtown Denver) and DaVita clinics, mock interviews, etc.
