Thomas Hoover DDS Health Professions Endowed Scholarship

Purpose:
Thomas Hoover DDS establishes this fund to support Biology majors in pursuing their education at Metropolitan State University of Denver. With this gift, students who have indicated an intent to pursue a graduate degree in the sciences and are working while in school will have the opportunity to complete their studies. Dr. Hoover recognizes the tenacity required to work and to complete a degree successfully and will create opportunity for students whose path was similar to his own.

Criteria:
• Be meeting MSU Denver’s Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements and cannot be in default or owe any refund/repayment of federal, state or . institutional aid
• Have a declared major in Biology at Metropolitan State University of Denver
• Intend on pursuing a graduate health sciences program in Medicine, Dentistry, Optometry, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, Optometry or Pharmacy
• Be taking 12 or more credit hours during the semester the scholarship is received
• Be working at least 10 hours a week
• Have a cumulative GPA between 3.0-3.6
