Vote of Confidence Annual Scholarship
Purpose:
The Fund is established to provide scholarships to students, to show a vote of confidence in a student’s goals, determination to work toward those goals, and in the end to be better prepared to care for those close to him/her and to care for the wider community.
Criteria:
The scholarship recipient shall:
• Meet the University’s Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements and cannot be in default or owe any refund/repayment of federal, state, or institutional aid.
• Have financial need as determined by FAFSA / CASFA and the University’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships
• Complete the general scholarship application including the general essay question
• Be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at the time the scholarship is received
• Have a declared major
Preference is for minority student(s), especially Black and Hispanic students
DACA/ASSET students eligible to apply
The scholarship is renewable for multiple semesters (contingent on available funds), but students must re-apply for the scholarship each academic year.
Renewal students can take up to two-gap semesters if needed.
