Breckenridge Brewery Women in Beer Chapter Annual Scholarship

Purpose:
The Fund is established to provide scholarships to students majoring in Brewing Operations who are working toward a career in the beer industry and understand and/or have experienced gender disparities in this traditionally male-dominated industry.

Criteria:
The scholarship recipient shall:
• Be meeting the University’s Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements and cannot be in default or owe any refund/repayment of federal, state or institutional aid.
• Have financial need as determined by FAFSA and the University’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships
• Be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours
• Have a declared major or minor in Brewery Operations in the University’s School of Hospitality
• Have junior or senior status
• Be over the age of 21 (legal drinking age in Colorado)
• Have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or greater
• Be a U.S. citizen
• Write an essay in 250 words or less that describes your experience facing or witnessing gender discrimination in the workplace, educational and/or social setting and how it has affected your college major and/or career plans.
