Mark and Heather Han Endowed Scholarship

Purpose:
The fund is established to provide scholarships to students within the College of Business. The Mark & Heather Han Endowed Scholarship was borne out of our desire to help an individual who has already proven to have the tenacity and ability to overcome adversity. The ideal recipient will be one who refuses to fail in spite of significant hardship, but who just needs to be given a little support and sponsorship to get to the next level. We are looking to provide that one little boost to someone who has already made a serious commitment to turn their lives around and has dedicated themselves to significant sacrifice of time and effort to achieve a life beyond mediocrity.

Criteria:
• Be meeting MSU Denver’s Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements and cannot be in default or owe any refund/repayment of federal, state or institutional aid
• Be a sophomore
• Have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5
• Have a declared major within the College of Business
• Applicants will be asked to write an essay of no more than 500 words that describes how they have demonstrated the ability to overcome adversity.

There is a preference for students with a declared major in Finance or Management
