AAA Social Justice Innovator Scholarship

Purpose:
The Fund is established to provide scholarship dollars to University students pursuing careers in Hospitality, Business & Organizational Leadership, Computing Technology & Software Development, and Electrical & Computer Engineering Technology.

Criteria:
The scholarship recipient shall:
• Be meeting the University’s Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements and cannot be in default or owe any refund/repayment of federal, state or institutional aid.
• Have financial need as determined by FAFSA/CASFA and the University’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships
• Be enrolled as a part-time (6 credit hours per semester) or full-time (12 credit hours per semester) undergraduate student
• Have a declared major within the School of Hospitality or College of Business or majoring in Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipient with an employment authorization document (work permit)

Preference is for a student who exhibits the greatest level of financial need.
Preference is to award a student with a minimum 3.0 cumulative Grade Point Average.
Insofar as funds are available, the Donor’s preference is for two students to receive a $2,500 scholarship per academic year.

Awarded students will have the opportunity to engage with AAA’s Talent Acquisition Mock Interview and Resume Review (MIRR) programming.
