Janice L. & James M. Velayas, Ph.D., Endowed Scholarship

Purpose:
Janice L. and James M. Velayas, Ph.D., wish to make an investment in the future of Statistics and Probability, which has contributed to their well being. James M. Velayas, Ph.D., is a graduate of Metropolitan State University of Denver, class of 1975. The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarship(s) that support promising Statistics and Probability majors at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Secondarily, this scholarship can also support Computer Science majors.

Criteria:
• Be a mathematics major with a probability and statistics concentration, secondary preference to computer science majors
• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• Be a full-time student
