Health Center at Auraria Endowed Scholarship

Purpose:
The Fund’s purpose is to provide scholarships to current Metropolitan State University of Denver students with career aspirations in a health-related field or industries that support social and community services.

Criteria
The scholarship recipient shall:
• Be meeting the University’s Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements and cannot be in default or owe any refund/repayment of federal, state, or institutional aid.
• Be a current or incoming degree-seeking student at MSU Denver
• Have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0
• Have a current general scholarship application on file
• Be enrolled at least half-time (6 or more credit hours)
• Be employed at the Health Center at Auraria (HCA). Students will be asked to give employment dates and their current supervisor.
• Write an essay (500 words) that articulates your career aspirations, previous work experience in a health-related field or industry that supports social and community services, a summary of your work in the Health Center at Auraria, why you believe
you should be considered for this scholarship, and any personal of professional factors that you would like the selection committee to consider.
