Future Leaders in Action Endowed Scholarship
Purpose:
The Fund is established to provide scholarships to students at the University.
The purpose of the Future Leaders in Action Endowed Scholarship is to provide crucial financial support to undergraduate students who demonstrate outstanding leadership abilities while facing financial need. This scholarship aims to empower and recognize individuals who exhibit exemplary leadership qualities, fostering their continued academic success and enabling them to make a positive impact on their communities and beyond. By alleviating financial barriers, the scholarship seeks to promote an environment where promising leaders can thrive, contribute, and reach their full potential in their academic pursuits.
Criteria:
The scholarship recipient shall:
• Be meeting the University’s Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements and not be in default or owe any refund/repayment of federal, state or institutional aid.
• Have financial need as determined by FAFSA/CASFA and the University’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships
• Open to DACA/ASSET Students
• Be an undergraduate student with a declared major
• Have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher
• Be enrolled at least half-time (6+ credit hours)
• Write a 500-word essay that describes how you have shown leadership qualities academically or in your personal life.
