Transamerica Scholarship

Purpose:
Recognized as a leading provider of life insurance, savings, investment and retirement solutions, Transamerica’s mission includes helping people live well today and worry less about tomorrow. To help accomplish that, Transamerica relies on its workforce as one of its most important assets – employees who use their skills, ideas and experience to make a positive impact in the lives of its customers. Transamerica also recognizes the value of investing in its future by supporting students who are pursuing degrees in a business related field – whether it be economics, accounting, marketing or another financial services discipline. Scholarships will benefit students who have made that commitment and are enrolled full-time in MSU Denver’s College of Business. They are meant especially for students who lack the financial means to pay for a four-year institution of higher education and who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend MSU Denver.

Criteria:
• Be meeting MSU Denver’s Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements and cannot be in default or owe any refund/repayment of federal, state or institutional aid.
• Be a senior or junior
• Be taking 12 or more credit hours during the semester(s) the scholarship is received
• Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater
• Have a declared major within the College of Business.

Scholarship can be renewed if eligible (contingent on available funds).
Preference will be given to students with a declared major in Finance or Marketing.
Preference will be given to students who are available to participate in internship opportunities with donors.
