ASSET, DACA and undocumented students are eligible for the scholarship.
Preference is to award each full-time graduate student as close to a $8,000 scholarship as possible per academic year. Should a scholar require more than one year to complete their MSW degree, the disbursal of funds can be accommodated to reflect the number of credits completed. For example, some students complete the Advanced Standing MSW over a two-year period at half-time – in this case, students would receive $4,000 per year of half-time participation.
Upon availability of funds, scholarship is renewable for up to one year for graduate students. Students must re-apply for the scholarship each academic year.
Preference: For each year of funding received, recipients will commit to work for one year (12 months) in a medically underserved community in Colorado, with a focus on serving individuals on Health First Colorado/Medicaid.
