Frances A. Melrose Foundation Annual Scholarship

Purpose:
The Fund is established to provide scholarships to Journalism majors at the University.

Criteria:
• Be meeting MSU Denver’s Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements and cannot be in default or owe any refund/repayment of federal, state or institutional aid
• Have a declared major in Journalism
• Be taking a minimum of 12 credit hours during the semester the scholarship is received
• Be a Colorado resident
• Have financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the CASFA application for DACA students and the MSU Denver Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships
• Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater

The scholarship is renewable contingent upon continued funding and will support 4 students: a freshman for a maximum award of 6 years, a sophomore for a maximum of 5 years, a junior for a maximum of 4 years and a senior for a maximum of 2 years. All awards will be fall and spring semesters only (no summer awards).
