Reisher Scholars Program

To benefit students who have completed one year of college or have transferred to MSU Denver after two years at a community college and lack sufficient funds for a four-year education.
• Have and maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA • Have financial need, based on FAFSA • Be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours • Be a Colorado resident • Must be continuing sophomores or incoming transfer juniors (not transfer sophomores) • Have an expected graduation date of three years (in case of continuing sophomores) or two years (in case of transfer juniors) from the date that they are first selected as a Reisher Scholar • Must agree to work 10 hours per week unless caring for dependents, disabled or participating in sports program at Metropolitan State University of Denver • Have a total unmet financial need of at least $4,000. Student may not take out loans totaling more than $1,500 during fall and spring semester (total of $1,500 per year) • Must demonstrate one or more of the following personal qualities: high motivation, goal-oriented, responsible/dependable, able to graduate and demonstrate and indication of making a contribution to society
