Bruce Rengers & Cynthia Dormer Dietetic Internship Endowed Scholarship
The Fund is established to provide scholarships for students entering the University’s Dietetic Internship Program.
Dr. Bruce Rengers, who taught at Metropolitan State University of Denver for 10 years, dedicated his life to using nutrition as a way to make a positive difference in the health of communities worldwide. Having put himself through undergraduate and graduate school, Dr. Rengers knows what it means to pay for a hard-won education. He hopes this scholarship will relieve the burden experienced by financially struggling students.
Dr. Cynthia Dormer, who taught at Metropolitan State University of Denver for 16 years, worked throughout her career, at multiple levels, to support and advocate for students’ academic and professional success. As a student, she benefitted from mentors and scholarships and she aims to continue to pay this forward throughout the rest of her life through this scholarship and through continued advocacy work.
