Professor Larry G. Keating Scholarship

Purpose
To honor the memory of Professor Larry G. Keating (1944-1996), who taught at MSU Denver for over twenty years in the Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) Program. Professor Keating obtained his BSEET degree at MSU Denver and went on to receive his MSEE degree at the University of Colorado at Denver. Professor Keating was the Chair for the EET Department for over ten years. He had several years of industrial experience including being chief engineer for three radio stations. He also worked for the Cube Laboratories and Statitrol Corporation where he obtained an extensive control systems background. While at MSU Denver, Professor Keating was known as a strong student advocate.

Criteria
• Be an electrical engineering technology major
• Have a 3.0 cumulative GPA
• Have an EET major GPA of 3.0
• Have 30 credit hours completed
• Have a minimum 6 credit hour enrollment
• Be a student member of professional engineering society
• Be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen
• Be a Colorado resident

A $500 scholarship annually ($250 in Fall and $250 in Spring) to benefit students with a declared Electrical Engineering Technology Program major in a degree-seeking program at MSU Denver.
